A range of Self Drilling fasteners for fixing Composite/Bonded panels to light, heavy steels or timber. A coarse thread just under the head, which is of a larger diameter than the rest of the fastener, stitches the top sheet under the washer of the fastener. This gives a resistance to the sheet pulling away from the washer.
A19mm diameter Bonded washer with a 3mm EPDM backing is recommended for roof applications and a16mm washer with 2mm EPDM can be used for side wall applications. A 29mm washer with 3mm EPDM backing is used for rooflights.
Valley fixing is normally recommended as Crown fixing can cause sheet distortion but Sheet manufacturers fixing recommendations should be adhered to.
